Well, part of it anyway. Hi, we are Rebecca and Lily. There are several others involved in making this whole thing happen, but as far as the business goes, Rebecca and Lily are the operations team. And logistics. And cleaning crew.... Just like many small family owned businesses, we fill multiple roles.
Rebecca spent her career as a firefighter, paramedic, instructor, and even flight paramedic before retiring from public safety. She then went on to instruct for a private firearms and medical training company. From there, Rebecca transitioned into joining her love of hunting and hunting dogs with a career. Rebecca spent several seasons as a guide and administrative assistant and kennel manager while getting to also assist under a well respected trainer.
About three years ago Rebecca started spending more and more time in the greater Sonoita area due to the dogs and even after being in Southern AZ for 30 years had never experienced the beauty the area had to offer and fell in love. Soon the whole family was on board and a wonderful piece of land tucked back off the road was found and dreams started to become a reality. While building has gone slowly, we are grateful to have the opportunity to be in the area.
Lily is a full time high school student for just a few more months as she is graduating early and will be done with high school in Oct 2023. She currently works at the local feed store 3-4 days a week and absolutely loves her job, boss and co-workers. Lily also puts in plenty of time on the ranch both working her horses and helping build what will one day be her Southern Arizona retreat after she is off on her own adventures with college rodeo and hopefully one day the pros. Lily is a long time camper at CCMA's rodeo bible camp here in town yearly and is very involved in her church.
Together Rebecca and Lily put in the day to day work boarding and house/ranch sitting. The majority of anything made from our business just helps Lily get on down the rodeo road fulfilling her rodeo dreams.
There are several others that are vital parts of our whole lives, not just the ranch running smoothly, that are very involved in day to day operations, but remain behind the scenes. We could not do this without them as well.
